The majority of the organic produce at Mountain Market & Supply in Eagle, CO is from Colorado farms, all smaller, non-factory farms with sustainable practices, organic and often regenerative. We work hard to source super-local, responsibly grown produce year round. Instead of simply ordering 'organic' produce from a vendor who delivers directly to us, we actually get in the car and drive to small farms that don't have any distribution at all. We go the extra mile, literally, to bring back produce that's higher quality, more local, and as close to buying directly from a farm as you can get.
Most stores order from a delivery truck. We drive. Many of the farms we buy from are too small to have distribution, which means you won't find their produce anywhere else in Eagle. We make the trip because the quality is worth it, picked within a day of reaching our shelves, lettuce that's still crisp, tomatoes that actually smell like tomatoes.
Our produce comes from Colorado growers like Ela Farms, Austin Family Farms, Rancho Durazno, and Roaring Fork Flour Mills. It's organic and regeneratively grown, from local, non-factory farms that treat their land and their produce with real care.
Spring brings asparagus and tender lettuce. Summer explodes with heirloom tomatoes, sweet corn, and Organic Olathe Corn. Late summer means Organic Palisade Peaches. Autumn brings squash, apples, and kale. Winter keeps us in stored roots and hardy greens.
Because availability shifts daily and these farms don't have a delivery route, the best produce goes to whoever walks in first. Call ahead if you're after something specific or want us to set a basket aside.
